School pageant for Valentine’s Day Featured

Metropolitan College in Joburg commemorated this year’s Valentine’s Day, in a ceremony that was attended some parents from the neighbourhood.

The commemoration included performances from music and dance groups, poetry recitals and a beauty pageant, in which the pupils participated.

The audience was dressed up to impress, with the colours that represent the day. The winners of the pageant and the performers walked away with prizes.

Principal Nokuthula Timile said the event was a huge success. “The singers, dancers, performers and contestants in the pageant showed great confidence and enthusiasm.”
